MOCK EXPLORATION: DUNGEON EXPLORATION
So you've been going about your new lives as Pokemon for the past week... which you may or may not have gotten entirely used to by now, but at least it's not as bad as things were when you first woke up. You haven't really gotten many leads on why this happened or how to change back, outside of, perhaps, conversations with Kangaskhan and Wigglytuff... but even then, it was kind of vague and unhelpful, outside of the lead of these... "Mystery Dungeons."
And, as luck would have it, Wigglytuff and Kangaskhan seem to want you all to gather in the center of town! They say it's an opportunity for you all to get experience with Mystery Dungeons... and maybe a little bit of treasure on the side, too. Who knows, it might even give you answers! ...I mean, probably not, since you're in the tutorial dungeon phase, but hey. It's worth a shot, right?
So, when you arrive at the center of Pokemon Square, you'll find the familiar faces of Wigglytuff and Kangaskhan there, but also a distressed-looking Butterfree and Metapod. Kangaskhan is quietly comforting the two unfamiliar Pokemon, while Wigglytuff addresses you directly...
"Hey, friends! I figure since you're new and here under some pretty weird circumstances, you might wanna take care of this. See, Ms. Butterfree's kid Caterpie's gone missing, and since they're my friends, I want to help! They're pretty sure he's lost in a Mystery Dungeon, and since he hasn't been gone that long... it's probably pretty easy for some new people to take care of.
So, since you're probably gonna want to go through Mystery Dungeons to figure out what's happening with you friends, I figured this would be a good way to get you started! You're probably gonna want to split into four teams of five to deal with things. I'll answer some questions for you, and then I'll take you where we think the Mystery Dungeon is!"

[Susie's raring to go. It's a little bit risky to charge into something she can't see, but she's recently found out she doesn't necessarily need to get up close to knock someone down.
She turns to where she's decently sure their leader's stopped, grins, and unleashes Dragon Rage.]
AAAAAA--

Ow! Forsooth!
[That's a hit! The Rattata turns to go after Susie with a Quick Attack - it's so fast, it's hard to even see her move. That doesn't seem normal.]
no subject
Since Susie is occupied with the lead Ratata, he decides to focus on one of the others. One on one is more fair, right? He hasn't equipped anything but he figures he doesn't need to. He's a weird magic bird. He is his own weapon. He picks the left Ratata and Advances.]
I should warn you, when I still had hands I was very accomplished in hand to hand combat.
no subject
[This one is wearing a black scarf around his face: Rouge Rattata. He considers the situation, then jumps up to try using Bite. Like the other, he's improbably fast - seems like he gets a lot more air than he should.]
i hate that i have icon keywords for this
Then perhaps, young bandit, I'm not like any other Sigilyph you've ever encountered.
[This doesn't stop Bite from being super-effective, or the Ratata from grabbing onto one of Ford's dumb little three-toed legs. Without really thinking he retaliates with a Gust, born more of the new instinct to FLAP!! FLAP REAL HARD!! in response to any inconvenience than it is out of any kind of strategy.]
no subject
[Rogue might have been moved to better acting, if he wasn't frantically trying to keep that weird leg in his mouth after realizing that he's now up pretty high.
After a moment of flailing, that Gust knocks him loose.]
Hark! A...a Sigilyph from the Nether Realm!
no subject
Especially if the modus operandi seems to be 'terrify these children but, like, in a safe way'. Which is why he uses Miracle Eye, which as far as he knows does literally nothing but look really impressive. Very glowy.]
Indeed! I'd run now if I were you. Save us both the trouble.

A true Bloodfang never runs from danger! Dagger Attack!
[This is just Quick Attack With A Stick, for reference.]

See,
to cover up for the fact that Ink was a dipstick and misjudged his workload this week and was thus absent for most of it,Ford spent pretty much the entirety of the last week in the Dojo. It seemed like the most sensible place to learn how to manage his new body. And while there he picked up a move that's more suited to his fighting style.]Alright! You made this nest and now you have to lie in it.
[Zen Headbutt is a dumb move to have as a special attacker but Stanford Pines liked the idea of just flinging his entire self at enemies and it being a Legitimate Move and not just a stupid idea so here we are. Get ready, dear ratboy.]
no subject
Woah!
[Given his class, Rogue Rat has no "heavy armor" to even sort of protect him from that. He goes flying - given that he's a Pokemon, he seems relatively okay still, but that's a finishing move among baby Ratatta. He removes the Rogue Scarf and sits up on his haunches.]
That was so cool!
no subject
But still, to all that effect, she’ll wave her wand with a flourish, using the one move she’s been able to master for sure thus far: Confusion. ]
Taaaaake that! Magic Blast!
no subject
RAAAAA! BARBARIAN RAGE!
[They don't actually learn Rage, though, so that's a Focus Energy followed by Tackle. Here she comes!]
no subject
Doesn’t mean she can’t play along, though.]
I cast..paralysing death blast!
[...thunder wave.]
no subject
[Barbarian Rat is paralyzed! They're about as fast as a normal Rattata now.]
Lighting Knife Stab! [...quick attack]
no subject
Wait, no, she's a ghost. She's got this.]
You call that a lightning knife stab? [Pfft.] THIS is a lightning knife stab!
[Gaige used Discharge!]
no subject
Okay, like, I'm down and all? But that wasn't a knife.

1. It's become clear what kind of "fight" this really is based on how everyone else is handling things.
2. ..she genuinely got caught off guard by how fast the little dude was and was completely blind-sided by it.]
I can see why they made you the leader, small-fry. [Susie please you're 2'07"] You're tough.
[Susie grits her teeth dramatically. She's starting to get into this. The high-energy, goofy extravagance of it all is infectious, and Susie's caught the bug.]
But tell me this: do you really think you can stand a chance against my power? There's a reason my allies have called me The Dark Knight!
[She realizes something during her posturing. There's a sweet name for a move she came up with that she never got to use when she was with Kris and Ralsei.]
Now, face my WRATH!
[She takes a deep breath, and do something that will likely not surprise anyone in her party.
Scream.]
RED BUSTER!!!
[A cool name for Hyper Voice.]
no subject
[This is SO MUCH FUN. Fighter Rattata tries to dodge, but even she is not fast enough to evade literal sound. She tumbles head over tail.]
I will avenge my fallen siblings! Take this! Skull Smash! [It's a Headbutt.]
no subject
[For show, she decides to mix it up a little bit. By way of using the only other cool move she's got. She's already used it, but she didn't give it a name. How about, um..]
Black Flare..!! [It seems appropriate what with the theme she's going for, maybe? Even if she can't actually see what color it is.. Whatever, it sounds cool. She's trying. She fires off a Dragon Rage while the leader is still close by.]
no subject
[Okay, legit that hits kinda hard with the amount of HP she's got at her level.]
My evil powers! They're turning on me! Noooooooo - [She falls over and makes some explosion noises with her mouth.]
no subject
[As fun as that actually kinda was, she wants to know what the hell that was all about. But for whatever reason, she doesn't really want to break character. She takes a moment to figure out how to ask what she wants to know.]
Now tell me villain.. Who was it you were waiting to, uh.. ambush..?
no subject
[The lead Rattata exchanges a somewhat confused look with her siblings.]
We were gonna play with Caterpie, but he's no fun now. You guys are WAY more fun!
no subject
She got a little caught up in the showdown.]
Hold on, hold on. Caterpie? He was supposed to be here, like. Right now? And he hasn't shown up..??
