MOCK EXPLORATION: DUNGEON EXPLORATION

So you've been going about your new lives as Pokemon for the past week... which you may or may not have gotten entirely used to by now, but at least it's not as bad as things were when you first woke up. You haven't really gotten many leads on why this happened or how to change back, outside of, perhaps, conversations with Kangaskhan and Wigglytuff... but even then, it was kind of vague and unhelpful, outside of the lead of these... "Mystery Dungeons."

And, as luck would have it, Wigglytuff and Kangaskhan seem to want you all to gather in the center of town! They say it's an opportunity for you all to get experience with Mystery Dungeons... and maybe a little bit of treasure on the side, too. Who knows, it might even give you answers! ...I mean, probably not, since you're in the tutorial dungeon phase, but hey. It's worth a shot, right?

So, when you arrive at the center of Pokemon Square, you'll find the familiar faces of Wigglytuff and Kangaskhan there, but also a distressed-looking Butterfree and Metapod. Kangaskhan is quietly comforting the two unfamiliar Pokemon, while Wigglytuff addresses you directly...

"Hey, friends! I figure since you're new and here under some pretty weird circumstances, you might wanna take care of this. See, Ms. Butterfree's kid Caterpie's gone missing, and since they're my friends, I want to help! They're pretty sure he's lost in a Mystery Dungeon, and since he hasn't been gone that long... it's probably pretty easy for some new people to take care of.

So, since you're probably gonna want to go through Mystery Dungeons to figure out what's happening with you friends, I figured this would be a good way to get you started! You're probably gonna want to split into four teams of five to deal with things. I'll answer some questions for you, and then I'll take you where we think the Mystery Dungeon is!"

[This is the point where Orb Bird Grandpa has to scramble to find an actual objection to Fuck Squad, which says a lot about him as a person. He flaps his weird wings for no good reason because he doesn't actually need to flap them to stay aloft.]

Well -- if I'm going to be on this team, and I assume I am now that I've made naming it my business, I'd like to be part of a group with a better name than what essentially boils down to 'Sex Gang'. It's not even alliterative.

Well of course it’s gonna sound bad when you put it like THAT. [she rolls her eyes] Fuck is way more versatile than that and you know it!

[meteorman]

It's still... mm.

[Okay. Other tactic.]

How about an acronym? [EVERYBODY LOVES ACRONYMS! He doesn't have one ready to go, though, which means his singular eye casts around frantically before settling on that mulleted dinosaur he talked to earlier in the week.]

... CHOMP. That's snappy.

...Damn. Gotta say, I do love a good acronym.

[Ford is damn lucky he's really good at bullshitting. It's saved him before and it's going to save him now.]

Cryptids Hurtling Onward to Magic and Peril?

[It only sounds a little like he just shoved some words together and prayed.]

[Gaige ponders on it for a moment.]

I do like hurtling. Magic and peril sounds pretty badass too.

[After a brief consideration, she’s come to her conclusion.]

AlRIGHT, The Fuck Squad will now - also, formally, for business ventures - be known as CHOMP! ...You gotta say it in all caps.

[Susie's been overwhelmed by the absolute chaos she's managed to cause, reveling in every second of it. But she finally comes to attention when she hears that The Fuck Squad's name needs to be changed, and she's a bit disappointed.]

I mean.. I guess so...

[Realistically, the team's name would've had to change eventually. But there are definitely worse names that could've taken the crown from The Fuck Squad.

Thinking about it for a moment, she recognizes that CHOMP is honestly pretty damn clever. And it's made even better for her once she realizes she was (to some degree) its inspiration.]

Yeah, alright. CHOMP's not bad, grandpa..! As long as we make sure everyone says it in caps.

[She's glad she's not gonna have to put up with another "The Fun Gang." All things considered? She's on board.]
